Personal research / pubblishing
This personal project explores three recurring themes in my creative practice:
nature – sound – exploration
By improvising musical themes based on repetitive patterns and rhythms, the intention was NOT to recreate the sounds of nature, BUT rather the harmony that can be perceived in the chaotic perfection that unites them.
Starting from pre-established technical limitations (a deliberately simple and “restrictive” composition-production and recording setup), I composed the tracks that make up the EP as if each were an ecosystem in its own right.
Capable of potentially existing forever, even if forced to change gradually and almost imperceptibly, yet naturally predisposed to change ceaselessly and find, each time, a new temporary equilibrium.
Over time, “Verde, quasi trasparente” became increasingly concrete until it evolved into a full-fledged record release.
This decision was also motivated by the opportunity to oversee its graphic and visual-multimedia design.
Hovering between the organic and the digital, the artwork and the packaging design align with the concepts of multiplicity, connection, and complexity “absorbed” by the whole.
Verde, quasi trasparente is available to stream<
And for digital purchase (and soon on vinyl) on BandCamp

What fascinates us about nature?
How do we experience nature as the “digital-lost generation”?
Is that sacred sense of wonder more vivid in us, since we are no longer used to contemplation?
We are constantly searching for the Universal Cohesion between the infinitely small and the immensely large. The point where consciousness and instinct meet.
The multidimensional interweaving of Existence.
I believe that WE are that connection.
Through the arts, through science, through thought.
What if, for example, composing music were nothing more than unconsciously recreating or imitating the complex patterns upon which every natural ecosystem is based?
Metaphorically speaking, it is simply a matter of harmonious, extremely intricate sets of personal “symphonies of life,” interpreted differently by each member of the orchestra.

The way we create, the way we destroy, the structures of which we are made, and the superstructures of which our thoughts are made; everything about us has Nature as its primary model.
And following paths that are (for now) incomprehensible to us, our existence in the world is bound up in seamless interaction with everything around us, living and non-living beings alike.
It’s up to us to figure out how to make the best use of this vast source of interactions.
<>
If, in the future, data is no longer viewed as a commodity to be sold but as a tool for understanding, it will open up potentially endless possibilities for connection.
Given our current state of desensitization and lack of awareness of our ecological role,
the use of data as a form of language through which to foster new forms of interaction and understanding across species could “bring us back into” the natural cycle as human beings.
>It is not necessarily true that technology is destined to distance us from the World<
Our next step as a species must reflect a more ancient, deeper, archetypal UNION.
Dating back to a time when humans, in order to survive, had no choice but to understand, interact with, and submit to the brutal and vast IMMENSITY that surrounded them.
-> An interspecies koinonia (κοινωνία), based on conscious coexistence. A union in which the fate of the individual is bound to that of the group. Where the self does not exist separately from the Whole.
It took only two or three generations to forget how to live in harmony with the rhythms of the Earth and with the land.
I hope it will take only one to start remembering again.
Loving Nature and hating humanity (or vice versa) is illogical;
WE ARE ALL BRANCHES OF THE SAME TREE.
